Most of us think we are stretching enough after a workout. The older we get, the more we realize…we are NOT stretching enough after a workout. We are stretching enough in general. We sit down all day long and our hip flexors stay in the contracted position, actually shortening and tightening the muscle.
Tight hip flexors can lead to knee pain, back pain, and muscle imbalances. Long deep stretching everyday can help loosen the hip flexors.
Perform these stretches a few times a week or everyday. 2 minutes for each stretch (which will seem like an eternity), do the set entirely and repeat.
