I’m two weeks in and I am definitely in need of motivation. Not because of the slim down, but life is busy right now and motivation to keep this going is definitely coming from within.
I actually feel pretty darn good. My diet was pretty rock solid today. Oatmeal, plenty of protein, veggies for dinner, you know – the usual. Exercise, not so good. I was on my feet ALLLLL day though. The unpacking – oh, the unpacking. I loathe it. I made some progress today though. It’s hard to take time and eat well when busy. I can’t say that I actually sat down to eat a meal, but that’s okay.
Tip for the Day: Even if you’re eating on the run, it’s possible to eat healthy. Stay committed – bulk up on veggies and lean protein for quick snacks until you’re able to have a meal.
My feet are screaming. I’m starting to feel a little inflammation when I wake up in the morning. I haven’t had plantar fasciitis since college and I remember it well, it hurts so bad. This is the first time I’ve even felt a twinge of it since then. I’ve just been on my feet a lot lately and writing less. I can feel it.
We’ve also had some pretty intense storms here over the past couple of days. I love it. Well, let me clarify, I love being inside when a storm hits. My husband and girls were at their rained out swim meet, so they probably didn’t love the storm as much as me. I miss the midwest rain. I love being back here.
And I love this!
I will be breaking down here in a minute and have a glass of vino – I need more antioxidants in my life. One thing I haven’t broken down and done yet is try on the shorts that I so long to fit into this summer. Not yet. I’m waiting until the end. I will fit into my shorts before it gets cold.
