Garden vegetable dip may just become your favorite dip of the summer. I love dips and when you love dip, you have to figure out a way to make it just a tad more nutritious, or you are asking for trouble.
Siggi’s dairy is a company that has been around for several years, but it is just now starting to become a more common name in the supermarket. I have to admit that I hadn’t heard about it before this year – but in my defense, I did live in Germany for two years before that, so I was completely behind on new products hitting the shelves.

So, they had a contest for RDs to use their product and I entered. Why not? I love recipe development and cooking makes me happy. I knew I wanted to make this dip and I had a heck of a time finding plain Siggi’s yogurt, but 4 grocery stores later, I found what I was looking for. There is nothing stopping a girl and her quest for a recipe to come to life.
Summer is the time for parties and get togethers, and there is always a vegetable tray. Treat yourself and those around you to a healthier and super tasty dip. A dip filled with vegetables to dip your vegetables in – YES!
- 2 cups Siggi’s Plain Whole Milk Yogurt
- 1/2 cup raw broccoli, chopped fine
- 1/4 cup finely shredded carrots
- 2 Tablespoons chopped chives
- 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Mix all ingredients together
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour
- Will keep for up to 3 days in the refrigerator
